TREADING LIGHTLY
Our primary purpose at Church Road is to run a restaurant that ensures that all those who choose to walk through our front door walk back out with a renewed sense of joie de vivre. Delicious food, warm and welcoming service and some good old fashioned hospitality is what Church Road is all about!
We aim to achieve this however with a wholly committed approach to looking after the environment and ensuring that all our suppliers go about their business ethically. We won’t be perfect in what we do but we will do a whole lot more than ‘talk the talk’ and every single member of our team knows our aims and how we plan to achieve them. We will focus our energies in four main areas.
-
Sourcing
- We source local, seasonal and unthreatened species and ingredients that have been produced, gathered or farmed ethically.
-
Sustainability
- We use suppliers, producers and farmers that operate sustainably and with animal welfare at the heart of their values.
-
Resources
- We minimise our consumption through clever waste management and controlled use of gas, electricity, water and plastic.
-
Education
- We invest in our team and encourage them to communicate what we do to those around us and further afield.
